Culture Vultures are a 3-piece hip hop group consisting of Squires Da Gem, Po Griff & Hagie. Arising out of the rural obscurity of West Wales they have developed a style as unpredictable as the Welsh weather. This style has seen them play alongside a wide array of renowned artists from hip hop legends such as KRS-One, Chester P, High Focus Records (Dead Players, Dabbla, Dirty Dike) to more alternative forms of rap such as Astroid Boys, Trellion & Defenders of Style. Support credits also include the great Huw Stephens (BBC Radio Wales). They have completed a tour of Oslo (Norway), where they performed live at the famous 'Blaa' venue with the Frank Znort Quartet. Expect anything from relaxed melodic boom-bap vibes to elevated thrashing punk energy when these guys are performing. Members Squires & Po Griff have also been on the Fubar Radio Open Mic with MysDiggi & Sarah Love, which you can find lower down this page. All production handled by in-house beat wizard Hagie, whose sound is not only unique but also incredibly innovative. In 2019 Culture Vultures have been selected to be jurors in the Welsh Music Prize Awards. Adam Walton recently played their songs 'The Sun Goes Down' and 'Reflection' on his show on BBC Radio Wales. With a new album 'WOTW:One' just released on Winger Records and multiple collaborative projects in the works, there has never been a better time to go catch a live show.
